Ball Mill

Ball mill or ball mill grinder is one of the most widely used superfineindustrial grinding machines in mining industry. Ball mill has many types, such as, tube ball mill, cement ball mill, superfine ball mill and energy-saving ball mill, overflow ball mill, chinaware ball mill and grid ball mill. Ball mill grinder or ball machine is mainly used to grind materials in mineral, cement, refractory, chemical  and other industries, with dry and wet two ways.

Working principle

Ball mill or ball machine is composed of horizontal cylinder, hollow shaft and grinding head. The long cylinder of the industrial grinding machines is made up of steel, and equipped with grinding system. Materials will be sent into the cylinder according to different diameters and certain percentage. The shell rotates to generate centrifugal force which can bring balls to a certain height, then balls drop down by gravity, so the impact means the grinding force between balls and matrials.

Structure

Ball mill among so many industrial grinding machines is composed of feeding part, discharging part, rotation part and driving part (gear box, small transmission gearwheel, motor and electric control). The hottest ball machine contains cylinder with wearable liners, which maintains the rotating of cylinder and the driving devices such as motor, transmission gear, pulley, belt, etc.
